October 5, Mesa Airlines took over responsibility for commercial air flights
for Columbia Regional Airport. Mesa will operate as
US Airways Express flying to St. Louis and Kansas City.
Reservations Make reservations by: Calling US Airways at 1-800-428-4322 Visiting their website at www.usairways.com Contacting an authorized travel agency Using Internet travel sites such as Travelocity, Expedia, or Orbitz. Use Columbia as your departing and/or returning airport (code COU). Ticketing with some airlines, such as Southwest, may require the purchase of two separate tickets to reach your destination from Columbia and/or return. Mesa has guaranteed $59 one-way fares (plus taxes and fees) to either St. Louis or Kansas City for a minimum of 6 months. Kansas City Flights in Kansas City arrive/depart at Terminal A. Kansas City International Airport provides two internal shuttle bus services. The Red Bus route connects the terminals and circle parking lots. The Blue Bus route connects the terminals with the satellite parking lots. Bus stops for both routes can be found near each terminal entrance and are marked by overhead signs. Both services run every ten minutes from the terminals. St. Louis Flights in St. Louis arrive/depart at Concourse A in the Main terminal. Lambert International Airport has two terminals. The Main terminal handles all airlines except Southwest and charter airlines (such as Champion Air and Ryan International which are located in the East Terminal). Lambert’s website information on ground transportation (http://www.lambert-stlouis.com/index/ground.html) indicates there is a shuttle between the terminals: To East Terminal from Main Terminal - MT12 - Up Ramp to left To Main Terminal from East Terminal - ET12 Security You will go through security when departing Columbia. You may need to go through security again in Kansas City or St. Louis if you change terminals/concourses. Baggage If you check baggage when you depart from or return to Columbia it will be routed to your destination if you booked your trip as one transaction. Southwest Airline does not have inter-line baggage agreements so baggage for Southwest flights will need to be checked again at the Southwest ticket counter by each passenger.
