WELCOME TO THE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY TRAVEL SITE
American University Procurement and Contracts office has been working closely with a consortium of over 40 other universities and colleges to provide our staff, faculty, and group travelers a cost effective and efficient process to purchase travel.

Four agencies have been selected for use by the university so that we may accommodate the various needs of the campus programs. All the agencies selected are sufficiently qualified to handle your business needs. We have structured our program with more that one travel agency for more flexibilty. We believe this will motivate the agencies to keep costs low and passenger service standards high.

If you use the approved travel agencies, you can book your reservation and the cost will be automatically charged back to your department. It will be necessary to provide the agency with the following information:

Traveler's Name
University Department
Campus Building and Room Number
General Ledger Account Number

If you prefer to use your own travel card, you may do so, but the above information will also be required. You may select any of the agencies and use them exclusively, or you may switch at any time. All agencies employ the same record keeping, thus our data will not be affected.

Please use our travel site for the information that you need to make make reservations. By using the approved travel agencies and our vendor partners, we will be able to keep our travel cost low and manageable. Without your cooperation, our volume may not warrant the discounts and services that we strive to provide to the university community
