Business Rentals - Domestic
- Do not purchase
a Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) and Liability from Hertz when renting a vehicle
in the
Continental United States when on Columbia business. Your coverage is up to $300,000/accident, $100,000/person,
$25,000/property damage as long as the CDP number is used at the time of reservation.
Business Rentals - International
- LDW and
Liability must be purchased when renting a vehicle from an international
location or when renting
from a company other than Hertz.
- This discount program
may be available at international locations depending on local law of
the country.
The customer should contact in-country Hertz locations and indicate the Columbia discount (CDP) number.
- If renting outside
of the Continental US, then each driver needs to be added onto the Rental
Agreement in
order to be included in the insurance coverage (insurance coverage(s) need to be purchased separately outside of
the Continental US). If renting within the Continental US, then Columbia employees who are over 25 do not need to
be on the Rental Agreement; the insurance coverage that is part of Columbia's program will automatically apply
provided they are traveling for business.
Be advised that the renter is responsible for returning the vehicle to the rental company.
Personal Use Rentals – Domestic and International
- Columbia's free insurance coverage does not apply and must be purchased separately.
Long Term Rentals
- Contact a Hertz representative for pricing and other details.
NOTE:
It is advisable to check with your credit card company prior to renting
a vehicle as some offer additional
travel related insurance.
Only authorized drivers, as listed on the rental agreement, are permitted
to use the vehicle and that the renter
is responsible for returning the vehicle to the rental company.
