Revised Ticket Policy
US Airways has relaxed ticketing policies for the impacted cities listed above. US Airways will allow one itinerary change without penalty for customers with travel to, from or through the cities listed above during the specified date range. See our revised ticketing policy below for rules and restrictions. Call 800-428-4322 for more information.

  • US Airways will waive the advance purchase and standard change fee.
  • You can move your entire itinerary up to seven days before or after the scheduled origination date (subject to original booking class availability).
  • You can apply the full value of your wholly unused tickets toward the purchase of a ticket to an alternate destination, although travel must originate within seven days of the scheduled origination date. Changes to origin and destination may result in an increase in fare. Any difference in fare between your new ticket and the original ticket will be collected at the time of booking.

Terms and conditions

Customers traveling on certain tickets - such as some available from third-party ticket discounters, including but not limited to discount travel websites - may not have all the elements of the policy available to them. Tickets issued by US Airways for travel on airlines other than US Airways, US Airways Shuttle or US Airways Express will follow the rules of the airline operating the flight(s).

Itinerary changes are subject to availability, and in certain cases, an additional collection fee. Customers will be able to stand by for alternate flights without incurring the standby fee if a satisfactory alternate itinerary cannot be confirmed.

  • Ensure waiver code “*WTHR” is entered in the tour code box to avoid a debit memo.
  • Follow all fare rules and list any applicable endorsements on the tickets when processing the original sale and any subsequent exchanges.
  • A one time only change is allowed.
  • Begin travel up to 7 days prior or later than original departure date.  Return travel dates may be changed up to the same number of days that the outbound is changed.
  • Customers must rebook new itinerary prior to midnight of the ticketed departure date.  If passenger is unable to rebook new itinerary prior to midnight, all normal voluntary change terms apply.
  • If traveling between the same city pairs and the original booking code is available, standard change fee, advance reservation, and ticketing requirements for customers with travel to these markets on the dates above are waived.
  • If traveling between the same city pairs and the original booking code is not available, standard change fee, advance reservation, and ticketing requirements for customers with travel to these markets on the dates above are waived, but any increase in fare applies.
  • If rebooking for travel with a change to origin or destination cities, the customer is permitted to apply the value of the ticket toward the purchase of a new ticket.   Applicable booking code must be available to qualify for the fare. Any increase in fare applies. Standard change fee, advance reservation, and ticketing requirements for customers with travel to these markets on the dates above are waived. All other fare rules apply. 
  • Refunds will not apply unless the flight is cancelled.
